All the Maghull Folk Club events are now  held at the
St Georges Social Centre, Station Rd, Maghull, L31 3DF
Unless otherwise stated on this web site.


The Maghull Folk Club's General Meeting will take place
before the sing-a-round on Tuesday 16th October, now at 7.30pm!
This is a Maghull Folk Club members only meeting
the Sing-a-round far all will commence after this meeting at 8.45pm


Women singers evening (Floor Singers)
Tuesday 30th October at the Maghull Folk Club

Each year we give the floor over to the female singers.
This will be our third women singers evening
after the success of the past two.
Males can accompany the women on the stage.
Maria Forsyth will be M.C. hosting this evening.

Folk Talant Competition
Following the success of last year's folk talent contest
run in conjunction with Enjoy travel, Folk North West Magazine is delighted to
run another competition for 2018
There will be a number of heats followed by a Grand Final,
with a trophy for the winning act as well as a prize of 500

Rules governing entry:
1/  The contest is open to singers and musicians as either solo or groups
with a maximum of four peop

2/  Each act needs enough duration  to present two polished performances
of at least 20 minute duration.
(different malarial for each performance preferred)

3/  Each act has the discretion of choosing their own malarial.

4/  Contestants should Not be professionals.

5/  Each act must complete an application and sent it to the address shown
on the form (Forms available at NW folk clubs)

6/  By completing the application form contestants automatically accept these
terms and conditions.

7/ An act may enter more than one heat if they are unsuccessful at their first attempt.

8/ Heats will be arranged for September 2018


 If you have a folk or charity event in the Merseyside area providing it isn't on the
Tuesday evening we will be happy to promote it on this notice board.
